Personality
Pierce down to the bone is a self sufficient woman, who is always up to the task to whatever life just may throw at her. She is not one to mope at inconvices that occur in her life, with her pride and stubborn mindset she finds ways around most issues. Only in times of dire need does she truly seek out help from others in her life. It's not that she distrusts them, Pierce just prefers to keep her issues to herself. Which often makes her pride slide into this ordeal.
Pierce greatly dislikes appearing weak or being seen through the eyes of pity, this in turn creates a toxic mindset. A mind set where she has to do everything by herself or she deems herself as weak. Making it often hard for her to break past a set point in friendships. Pierce is social to a point but puts effort into distancing herself once a person breaks her comfort zone. In better words, to others Pierce is considered shy towards intimate relationships and close friendships. However the word is to be lightly used on her.
Even if her view on herself can be toxic at times, Pierce is generally a happy person who is positive about life. Often doing things she hasn't tried before just for the sake of living life. Yet, she mainly enjoys the simple things in life. Such as simple living, farming, making what you use, growing your own food, family. She appears like someone who belongs in a larger city but is a country woman down in her heart. Being a hard worker you can see her tending to her front lawn with adding flowers or making it appear more welcoming to any guests she may have over, possibly even in her shop sewing up orders for her clients.

History
A
t the tender age of ten years old Pierce was often caught with books in her face. All of them relating to the Victorian era. It was her favorite past time to picture herself in these settings that she surrounded herself in. Fancy dresses, going to the planned balls where she would get swooped away by a handsome suiter. Pierce wanted to feel beautiful in exquisite designs. She'd spend hours in her room drawing possible dresses she would wish to wear when she'd go to a ball once she was of age. Pierce grew up in a relatively large town in a small apartment complex with one other sibling. Her childhood was fairly average, the worst thing she can think of in her childhood is being bullied by curel kids in school for the smallest possible reasons. Next in line was her losing her favorite pet bird, it passed on when she was at school and came to find out by her mother that it had died of older age.As Pierce grew older she started to notice how uncomfortable the busy life of the city was for her. She had felt like she truly had no time for herself to be alone without worry someone was watching her. There was no way she could possibly become the ballroom beauty in such a populated town. She wanted to live, like she was a rich powerful Victorn woman. Which means, living in a house keeping, herself prim and proper and always appearing her best to the public eye and rearing very respectable kids. Needlessly to say this was all done on a healthier level than what these words spell out. Pierce also in the mix wanted to be a farmer or a pierre girl like from her favorite book in her teenage years called 'House in the pierre'. Making stuff from what came out from her farm, from a humble small garden, or a tiny local store. Using horses and wagons as her own transport to and fro.
Learning more about herself Pierce set a goal once she was old enough to hold her own apartment to slowly save to move out and buy a house. However, the plan sped up tenfold when she met a man whom she was stricken with. He and Pierce shared the same traditional mindset. Making it so Avis could quit her job, stay at home and tend to a possible child and being his entertainment once he was done with his job. This was all done after they were married, which they had done so five months after they had met each other. Pierce and her Husband are religious so it seemed like the correct thing to do in their eyes.
After being wed for three years Avis had two children, both of which ended up to be boys. Which saddened Pierce since she oh so badly wanted a little darling to dress up and teach how to be prime and proper. The boys could care less about her dated thinking and often ran off and did their own thing. They loved her it was seen in their actions but they did not care to play along with her dream of being in the victorian age. Which would be her setting up their marriages with the help of her husband and such.
Her life is very average and her dream of moving with him was lost. They hadn't wanted to move while she was close to giving birth. By the time she was able to move they didn't want to move because the child was too young and would slow the the process too much making it so the husband would have to do most of the packing and unpacking. It became sort of a forgotten dream between the couple until something tragic happened.
Pierces husband was shot point blank at work, he was always very open about his views and people always considered him to be an evil man due to what he had believed. With the kids being young enough they had no idea to what was really going on nor were they old enough to hold a conversation. Grief stricken Pierce found herself alone, without a job and with two very young kids. She contacted her parents and lived with them while working. She then used the funds from her beloved dying and her job to get a home in the small village of Colchester. Where she has lived for the past 13 years.
